Helga Bat

Helga Bat

Those patient Hufflepuffs are true and unafraid of toil! Nobody knows this more than Helga! As the founder of Hufflepuff house, she proudly displays the Hogwarts House Crest in her wings and ears and wears the Hufflepuff Badger on a practical satin bowtie. This loyal and patient friend can't wait to fly into your home and heart!

Helga is 11 inches from wingtip to wingtip and 5 inches from her toes to the tops of her ears. She's made of super soft, plush minky with high quality cotton in her wings and ears with hand-stitched details. She's weighted with poly pellets and stuffed with premium, anti-clump polyfill.

Every bat is handmade and unique! There may be small variations from bat to bat.

My home is a smoke free, pet friendly home.

  • Care Instructions

If you've gone an too many adventures and your bat needs a little TLC, here are the best ways to get them looking good as new!

    - Bats do best when they're spot cleaned only, they're not a fan of baths! If they've gotten soaked through, they can be gently handwashed in a sink full of water and 1 tablespoon of dish soap. Gently massage your bat and smoosh the water in and out, and let them air dry.

    - Is your bat a little stinky? No need to worry! Put your bat in a ziplock bag with about a half cup of baking soda, give them a good shake, and let sit overnight. Take them out of the baggie and either shake away or vacuum out the excess baking soda and you'll be good to go!

    - Spot cleaning: If you have teddy bear wash (my favorite is from Build a Bear but I've heard great things about the one from Seige), you're good to go! A good alternative is 1tbsp of Dawn Dish Soap (the regular kind without lotion) and 1 cup of water in a spray bottle. Spritz your bat down and gently brush out the stain with a toothbrush or other soft brush and let them dry.

These bats are made with safety eyes and filled with some small poly pellets. Those small parts are easily swallowed if curious fingers pry the eyes out of the fabric.

Do you have a little one at home? I'm happy to make bats with satin stitched eyes and no poly pellets! Fill out a custom order form and let me know in your order that you'd like a littles friendly bat.
